Help Center

If your team has enabled it, the portal carries a Help center — searchable articles that answer common questions without anyone having to open a message.

Only published articles are ever visible here. Drafts and archived articles exist only in the console.

Finding an answer

  • Search. The search box matches article titles, summaries, and full text, and returns each result with a snippet showing where the match was. Titles rank above summaries, and summaries above bodies, so an article actually named after the question comes first.
  • Browse by category. Categories are listed with their description and article count. Open one to see everything filed under it.
  • Recently updated. The front page lists the most recently edited articles, so returning visitors see what changed.

Articles that aren’t in any category still appear on the front page under Other articles, so nothing is reachable only by search.

Reading an article

Each article shows its title, its body, and when it was last updated. Bodies are written in Markdown by your team, so they can include headings, lists, links, code, and images.

Was this helpful?

Every article ends with a Was this helpful? prompt. Answering Yes or No takes one click and sends nothing but the vote — no comment box, no email.

A visitor can vote once per article, and can change their mind: switching from Yes to No moves the count rather than adding to it. The prompt is only active for visitors SupDesk already recognises from a previous post or message on that portal. Everyone else sees the question with a note explaining why they can’t answer it yet — which is what stops one person from voting an article up ten times.

Your team sees the running tally per article in the console.

Language

Like the rest of the portal, the help center is shown in the visitor’s language where your project provides one.
